£12,500 per annum

About Riverside Group

The Riverside Group Limited is one the UK’s leading social housing and regeneration organisations, owning or managing over 50,000 properties from Kent in south west England to Irvine on the west coast of Scotland. In 2016, Riverside had a turnover of £365 million and employed 2,711 staff.

The Riverside Group Ltd is the third largest provider of homelessness support in the UK and a large provider of older persons support. Our Care and Support business operates in over 150 local authorities and we have a wealth of experience working with diverse customers. We are uniquely placed to provide innovative and flexible care and support solutions that provide exceptional value to commissioning authorities, clients and communities. Our services include supported housing; retirement living; care services; substance misuse and rehab; young people and families; veterans service, and community service.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced non-executive who has substantial sector knowledge – a supported housing background would be useful but is not essential – and experience of working in a complex and highly regulated environment. Strong strategic and leadership skills and a particular strength in team building will be essential and commercial acumen and risk and assurance experience will also be important. The ability to chair meetings and provide support and challenge to the executive team is a pre-requisite. Another facet of the role is the importance of creating a link between the Care and Support Committee and the Group Board.
