A chartered surveyor with an MBA and part of the Directors Programme at Cranfield Business School. Olu has a wealth of experience in both the provision of affordable housing and commercial housing development and management in the United Kingdom and Africa.
During his career he has been Chief Executive of United HA based in Bristol, Managing Director of Midland Heart HA based in Birmingham, Executive Operations Director of East Thames HA and Managing Director of Genesis HA, both based in London. These organisations range from those who have developed and managed around 100 homes to those with over 20,000 homes in their portfolio. He is currently Chairman of Inquilab HA, a BME housing association based in London, and Altwood Housing Group, a private property group based in London.
Experience in Africa includes business plans for a substantial development in the market area of Ibadan in Nigeria. A development appraisal for 80 homes in Lekki, Lagos in Nigeria and currently in the pipeline a proposal, business plan and funding prospectus for the development of 120 mid-market homes in Kasoa in Ghana. Recently led on feasibility study for affordable housing in Rwanda where specialised in the operational and procurement aspects.
