Senior recruiter joins Altair
Altair, the leading edge consultancy, has recruited Sarah Palmer, a senior consultant from Rockpools to head their growing Recruitment and Interim Management business. Sarah led the local government team at Rockpools and also worked on senior private sector appointments, specialising in corporate services, housing and environmental services.
Prior to her career as a recruitment consultant, Sarah worked in local government in various senior HR, communications and diversity roles for over twenty years.
She started her career in local government working for the Association of Metropolitan Authorities, before becoming Head of the Local Authority Information Exchange (LARRIE) and then Assistant Director of Information and Communications at the Employer’s Organisation for Local Government.
Sarah said; “I’m delighted to be joining Altair at this exciting stage of its development and also at a time when the market is changing and my experience of sourcing private sector candidates to join the public sector (and vice versa) will be extremely valuable.”
Steve Douglas, a partner at Altair said; “We are delighted to have appointed Sarah, a top recruiter with a great track record. Now more than ever organisations need to know that they can find the right calibre person, for either interim or permanent positions. Sarah’s expertise will add greatly to Altair’s offer to clients.”
Sarah replaces David Schwarz, who has returned to Australia.
Sarah begins with Altair on 1st July 2011.
