At Altair we help clients thrive in a changing and often challenging world. We do this by being up to date with the latest and best thinking and research on housing and housing supply.
We therefore support ThinkHouse, an online library of the best and brightest publications on housing. Launched by Lord Kerslake ThinkHouse have been running and testing the site for just over a year. In that year a high calibre editorial panel have collated and referenced up to date and relevant housing & policy research. They have also identified clear gaps in recent, housing-focused research, (available here).
But rather than just highlighting these gaps, they want to try to get them filled with more good quality exciting research to add to the excellent work that already appears on the site. Altair was keen to support them to do this and have therefore sponsored the ThinkHouse Early Careers Researcher’s prize.
The aim of this prize is to encourage papers from those at the beginning of their career that look at international research or high-quality case studies. These should meet our objectives or which help to close the evidence gaps highlighted.
They are looking for think pieces, research papers, original empirical research, evidence reviews and investigative journalism pieces between 4,000-8,000 words in length. The winning paper will be awarded £250, will be published on the Thinkhouse website and will benefit from the wider dissemination and credibility that this brings.
The deadline is 28th September, and further details of how to enter are available on the ThinkHouse website
