Are you really listening to the Regulator on VfM? Have you truly embedded it?
The 2018 Value for Money Standard calls housing providers to action:
– To change your mindset and approach to comply with more comprehensive VfM requirements
– To drive up margins and generate funds through organisational changes to maximise efficiency, enabling investment in higher quality services, development of more homes, and greater resilience
The Regulator will now enforce the VfM Standard more vigorously during IDAs and the reporting cycle
To ensure maximum efficiency, Altair offers:

1. A VfM Healthcheck© – undertake a ½day review of your VfM systems and processes, and obtain written assurance for your board on whether all elements of the 2018 VfM standard are covered and compliant
2. A tailored VfM Framework Assurance© review – embed VfM at the core of your operations:
- engage your board
- incorporate VfM into values, culture, decision-making, planning and review processes
- amplify the voice of residents in agreeing VfM strategies, considering performance, and setting priorities for reinvesting efficiency gains
- promote a culture of continuous improvement – embracing technology and innovation to improve efficiency
Whether your initial motivation is to satisfy the requirements of the Regulator or develop a cutting-edge approach to VfM, contact Altair to discuss how we can help: email joseph.carr@altairltd.co.uk
