Altair Announces Leadership Transition
We are pleased to announce a leadership transition at Altair as we enter our 15th year.
Altair has announced a leadership transition as it enters its 15th year. From 1st January 2026 Fiona Underwood moved into the role of Executive Chair and Michael Appleby has now been appointed as Group CEO, effective from 1st April.
This marks the next phase for Altair, strengthening how we support clients to navigate increasing complexity and ensuring we continue to turn insight into action.
Michael joined Altair as our third employee and has grown with the business over the past 15 years, from consultant, to Managing Director of Consulting, and now to Group CEO. He has played a central role in shaping Altair into the business it is today.
As we look ahead, this is about building on strong foundations and focusing on what comes next.
