Matt McCormack Evans – Practice Director, Transformation, Digital and People
Matt McCormack Evans is Practice Director for Altair’s Transformation, Digital and People practice, leading work with organisations across socially-focused sectors (including housing, local government, and care and support) to deliver large-scale, lasting change. His team supports clients to connect and public sectors to deliver large-scale, sustainable change. His team supports clients to connect strategy, digital capability and workforce design and development so they can respond effectively to complex operating environments and deliver better outcomes for the people they serve.
Matt is a highly experienced transformation and service design specialist, with nearly fifteen years at Altair delivering organisation-wide change programmes. His approach is grounded in a simple conviction: that too many organisations treat transformation as primarily a structural reorganisation, a technology implementation, or a people change – when in practice, change that sticks requires all three to be planned and delivered together. His work combines clear strategic thinking, systems-based design and a deep understanding of how people, processes and technology interact within complex organisations.
In recent years, Matt has led complex transformation programmes across the housing and public sectors. His work includes whole organisation target operating model design for large national registered providers and care and support organisations, service redesign across operational and corporate functions, and the design and delivery of new ways of working at scale.
The Transformation, Digital and People practice area brings together three specialist streams under a single, integrated offer. Altair’s Transformation and Change team works with clients on strategy development, operating model and service design, and programme delivery. The Digital, Data and Technology team supports clients with technology strategy, systems procurement, data governance and cyber security. And the People and Recruitment team provides executive and board-level recruitment, pay and reward advisory, culture and organisational development, workforce planning and HR advisory services. Together, these capabilities allow Altair to support clients to connect the strategic, technical, cultural and human dimensions that are too often addressed in isolation.
Whether an organisation needs to rethink how it operates, select and implement new technology, reshape its workforce, or do all three at once, the Transformation, Digital and People practice works alongside clients from strategic conception right through to implementation and embedding.
