Grand Union Housing Group adopt Neutral State Systems Architecture

About the project

Altair developed a systems architecture which considered the options available and developed a roadmap enabling GUHG to transition to the new architecture. We knew that Microsoft technologies would play an important part, so we defined how capabilities across that platform would work in a hybrid environment, supporting the development of their modern customer experience.

We consulted with stakeholders within GUHG and with technology vendors to articulate and explore the impact on service delivery and customer experience by adopting the range of options being considered. This defined what mattered to GUHG as an organisation and enabled success criteria and architectural design principles to be captured.

We developed a clear strategy to achieve the golden data record enabling the design of end-to-end, digitally-enabled processes. We considered the potential limitations of established systems to enable this during the transitional phase and proposed actions to move incrementally to the desired state. This links to GUHG’s intentions to use their Azure DataLake to continue to build their Power BI reporting capability, using data within and outside the organisation to increase analytical insight.

Results

GUHG have invested significantly in their customer segmentation insight and our strategy proposed how tailored services respond to the needs and preferences of individual customers can be built into core business processes, without the need to label or identify individuals within their customer record.

This strategy and neutral future state roadmap was approved by the Executive team in May 2022.
