Taking a strategic approach to fundraising with Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust

With our support, FTCT have acquired several new partners, including B&M, The White Company, New Look and Ralph Lauren, and launched their first ever individual giving campaign.

About the project

The Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) offers financial support to children whose parents work in any aspect of the UK fashion and textile industry. As a small charity with only six members of staff, FTCT had never had a dedicated fundraising resource, and commissioned Altair to formulate an income generation strategy.

We worked with the FTCT team and Board, to analyse previous fundraising activity across a variety of fundraising streams which led to the creation of a strategy, clear targets and associated action plans to prioritise their future work.

We are continuing to work with FTCT to support the implementation of their fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on corporate partnerships and individual giving.

Results

With our support, FTCT have acquired several new partners, including B&M, The White Company, New Look and Ralph Lauren, and launched their first ever individual giving campaign, focused on raising funds to support families struggling to pay for their children’s school uniforms. With the aid of Altair, FTCT’s fundraising confidence and ambitions have grown considerably.

"Working with the team has enabled FTCT to build a robust fundraising strategy which is alreafy reaping rewards. Their expertise and guidance throughout has been invaluable- we would highly recommend any charity to take their fundraising journey with them!"
Anna Pangbourne, Chief Executive at FTCT.
