RBH is at the heart of the local community here in the towns and villages of Rochdale Borough, and we’re proud to be a pioneering mutual housing society in the home of co-operation. Over the past year, we’ve seen how our tenant and employee members have come together to face the challenges of the pandemic, and to provide support to those in our communities who need it the most.
In 2018, we set out our ambitious plans to help us to provide the right mix of new and existing quality homes, and to ensure our tenants at all stages of life can thrive and succeed. We aimed to do this while changing and improving the way we work, delivering the services our customers value whilst ensuring that RBH remains strong, financially successful, and resilient to future challenges.
In 2021, we’re looking to the future, as we aim to shape the priorities that will enable us to continue to make Rochdale a great place to live and work in the years to come.
We are looking for two new Board Members to join our Board and help us continue to support Rochdale as a great place to grow up, grow a career, and grow older.
That’s where you come in – providing the expertise and inspiration we need to guide RBH and ensure that we continue to deliver for our customers. We are particularly keen to hear from people who understand the role that a people and place-based housing provider like RBH can play in promoting community wellbeing, who have experience of helping forge strong local partnerships, and will help us better connect with our tenants and communities.
We are also keen to have a Board that includes people from a range of backgrounds and different life experiences to help us better connect with our tenants and communities. Above all we’re looking for individuals who believe in our mutual approach and the positive difference it can make in communities.
In return, we offer an opportunity unique in England to work with our elected tenant and employee Representatives to shape the future of our society.
Previous non-executive experience is not required as a comprehensive induction process will be provided.
