Our Sectors

International

We work with governments, private sector and third sector stakeholders to deliver affordable housing more effectively, with improved quality, increasing opportunities for successful outcomes. Our group mission is to make a better, more sustainable and socially responsible world, and we also work with educational bodies and charities all over the globe.

International

Altair International specialises in emerging markets, with a proven track record of successful projects spanning Africa and Asia. Our focus aligns with the observation that regions most susceptible to climate change are experiencing rapid urbanisation.

Effective urban planning and the widespread adoption of low-carbon innovations can foster carbon-neutral, sustainable, liveable, and healthier cities. However, substantial private financing is essential to bridge the gap between typically low public financing in emerging markets and the costs associated with a low-carbon transition.

We acknowledge that urban affordable housing presents a profound global challenge, impacting at least 1.2 billion people residing in inadequate housing conditions.

This challenge is particularly acute in rapidly urbanising Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, where urban population growth surpasses official capacity, leading to sprawl and slum formation and exacerbating the vulnerability of city populations.

Altair International remains devoted to its commitment to driving positive change in emerging markets. Our dedication to effective urban planning, sustainable solutions, and addressing the global challenge of urban affordable housing reflects our proactive stance.
