This includes a review of the here and now; engagement with stakeholders; providing external insight from peer organisations and critical friend challenge to emerging options including areas such as size of team, types of roles, costs, current market for roles etc. We then support you to select and refine a preferred option, impact assessment and implementation plan.
Having the right job description and person specification will ensure that you attract and recruit candidates with the necessary skills and experience. It will also provide a framework for assessment during the recruitment process along with your competencies. We review and refresh job descriptions and person specifications to ensure they are fit for purpose.
We carry out full remuneration benchmarking exercises for staff at all levels but can also provide a high-level review to provide assurance that the current compensation package remains competitive.

Individuals making first applications to Executive roles will often benefit from independent support from someone who can help them understand their strengths and development needs and present these in a way that positions them well for the role. It can enhance the candidates’ confidence in their application and, even if unsuccessful for that particular role, will typically benefit them in their future professional development.
Where that role is with a current employer, then it can be difficult to identify the most appropriate person to provide this support, whilst also ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.
We can undertake occupational ability and personality profiling of candidates taken forwards to the final selection stage. We produce individual reports and hold a meeting with the selection panel to discuss outcomes and identify key areas to explore at the final interview. Feedback is offered to candidates at the end of the process.
This is an independent coaching service to support candidates as they transition into a new role, this is a service many clients take up particularly if appointing someone into a more senior executive role for the first time.
No two coaching programmes are the same as they are designed to meet the needs of the individual, but typically a programme lasts for six months, with outcomes being agreed between the organisation, individual and Altair. Organisations value this service as it takes the weight off of their shoulders.
