Project Experience
Project Name and Client: Fundraising Strategy – White Ribbon UK
Date: July 2025 – December 2025
Role on Project: White Ribbon UK are the leading charity in England and Wales engaging men and boys to prevent men’s violence against women and girls. Having started as a grassroots campaigning organisation, they commissioned Altair to help them identify new ways to grow their reach and impact and diversify sources of funding.
Altair developed a fundraising strategy for White Ribbon UK, which the CEO could use to get buy in from their trustees to hire a specific fundraising resource. The strategy outlined the opportunities, and resource required, across a range of income streams, including individual giving, trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partnerships.
Beth was the project lead/ senior consultant, Beth facilitated a series of interactive workshops to unearth opportunities amongst such income streams. Through consultation and research, Beth developed a strong understanding of the charity’s existing fundraising performance, strengths and capabilities, and presented in a comprehensive report the potential of all possible fundraising streams.
The final fundraising strategy effectively provided the CEO and Trustees a full exploration of the charity’s income potential through to the end of their strategy period, and an evidence-based discussion about the capacity and capabilities required in the team to leverage opportunities.
Project Name and Client: Governance Review – Dronfield Heritage Trust
Date: April 2025 – August 2025
Role on Project: Dronfield Heritage Trust contracted Altair to work with their staff and board to review planned changes to the Trust’s governance structure. Altair’s report was to feed into DHT’s 12-month project called Securing DHT Future, which included restructuring of the DHT governance and strategic function, a new management and staffing structure, and immediate business planning for 2025-26. Altair identified recommendations for improvements and provided a guide to implement better practice.
Beth was project lead / senior consultant, completing all the consultation with Board and charity volunteers, research and analysis, wrote the findings / recommendations report and developed a tailored guide for ‘good governance’ specific to their structure and charitable mission.
The Governance Review will help form the basis of DHT’s plans to achieve financial stability, protect the charity from risk, and drive forward your vision of being a reputable buildings and heritage charity and being a valued asset to the Dronfield community for years to come.
Project Name and Client: Commercial Strategy, Organisational Strategy, Corporate Partnerships Retainer – London FA
Date: October 2023 – March 2025
Role on Project: London FA contracted Altair to deliver two strategy projects which were followed by a retained contract. The first strategy explored commercial income through corporate partnerships, sponsorships, assets, and trade. A comprehensive plan was provided on being market-ready for commercial income.
The second project delivered a 4 year County NGB strategy in-line with The FA’s objectives and KPIs. Following these projects, London FA retained Altair to help drive the commercial income. This included mentoring the partnerships and marketing team, leading the Commercial Working group, delivering training and development across the organisation, organising corporate engagement events, developing partnership pitches, drafting contracts and delivering partnership implementation plans.
Beth was the project lead/senior consultant on all three projects. Within a 12-month period of working with London FA Beth facilitated conversations with potential sponsors with the value of over £160,000 and developed a tailored corporate pipeline, linked to their assets, with income potential of over £300,000.
