Mihir Shah
Mihir is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a core member of the Finance and Treasury team. Mihir is responsible for business planning and stress testing, data analysis and external research. Mihir also works closely across other Altair workstreams.

About Mihir
Mihir provides strategic financial and business planning support to ensure clients realise value for money and are best placed to thrive in the current operating environment. Mihir has worked with several clients based in the UK and in Africa, providing support to executive teams, Chief Executives and Boards, and facilitating Board away-day discussions.
Mihir is passionate about driving equality, diversity and inclusion across the sector and has led on several cross-sector diversity programmes including Leadership 2025 and the Future Leaders Programme.
Recent Altair Assignments
Recent projects that Mihir has been involved in include:
- Building and reviewing Brixx and Excel business plans for a wide range of housing associations across the country and local housing companies set up by local authorities
- Stress testing workshops working closely with Executive teams and Board members to identify potential mitigations and assess risk appetite
- Strategic finance support for a number of organisations, including support with management accounts and year-end accounts
- Finance function team service review for a London based RP
- Project management and financial modelling for several high profile mergers in the sector
- Supporting several organisations with their growth strategies and carrying out options appraisals on different partnership working types
- Rent reviews for numerous organisations to ensure compliance with the Rent Standard
- Project management support to develop and launch the Leadership 2025 programme, aimed at developing the next set of diverse leaders in the sector
- Project management to deliver collaboration projects for a group of fourteen BME housing associations
- Financial viability reviews for a housing regulator
- Economic analysis to feed into strategic discussions at Board Awaydays
- Feasibility review of a rental product in Rwanda, Mozambique and Burkina Faso
