Tina Sokhal
Tina has a legal background and has over 8 years of experience working in the housing sector. She has worked with various Board’s and Executive Teams on governance reviews including board effectiveness, IDA preparations, risk management frameworks and assisting with organisational design.
Prior to working at Altair, She was part of the founding team of a major for-profit provider and had the responsibility to establish housing management strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring strict governance and consumer standard compliance. Within her role at Sage Housing, Tina also led on many housing improvement projects.
Tina has also worked for the Local Government in the Welfare Reform team looking at the London Borough’s Financial Inclusion Strategy at the height of the introduction of Universal Credit. Tina also worked in the London Borough’s Housing Policy team and was responsible for helping to develop their new Housing Strategy.

About Tina
Tina has strong project management skills and over 8 years of experience working in the housing sector. Prior to working at Altair, she was part of the founding team of a major for-profit provider and had the responsibility to establish housing management strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring on strict governance and consumer standard compliance. Within her role at Sage Housing, Tina was responsible for designing and shaping the housing management service. She also supported the mobilisation of a contract to outsource housing management services, including devising a robust performance reporting structure ensuring any risks were identified and mitigated. Tina also led on health and safety at work and was responsible for reviewing the organisational position and providing performance reporting updates to the Board regularly.
Tina has worked for the London Borough of Havering in their Welfare Reform and Financial Inclusion Team, assessing their strategy and service improvement at the height of the introduction of Universal Credit, leading on implementing different support services and responsible for KPI reporting to our external partners (DWP). Tina also worked in the London Borough’s Housing Policy team and was responsible for helping to develop their new Housing Strategy.
Since joining Altair, Tina has supported many projects including governance reviews, IDA preparations, management structures and carrying out performance reviews. She has extensive knowledge about the NHF code 2020 code governance and led on the NHF code 2020 consultation response.
